We are almost halfway there!

February 18, 2019

We are almost halfway to our goal of raising $25,000 for the West Virginia Student Scholarship!

First-year student, Hannah is interested in pursuing mixed animal medicine and is thankful for those who support the West Virginia Student Scholarship fund. This scholarship has helped her focus less on her debt and more on her journey towards becoming a West Virginia Buckeye!

There is still time to make your impact. Give today: https://buckeyefunder.osu.edu/project/13782

Meet first-year student, Azia!

February 11, 2019

Students like first-year Azia are thankful for those who support the West Virginia Student Scholarship fund. This fund helped her continue her journey towards becoming a West Virginia Buckeye!

We are still pursuing our goal of raising $25,000 towards this scholarship throughout the month of February. We are 16% of the way to our goal and only $1,000 away from our $5,000 match. Give today to double your impact and don't forget to share this project with your friends and family!

$100

Contract years

Starting in 1953, a contract program existed between the state of West Virginia and the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine that reserved about 4 or 5 seats in each year’s class for West Virginia students and allowed them to pay in-state tuition for their first year of veterinary school. However, contract program ended in 2008.

$250

Contract Students

During the years of the in-state tuition contract, just over 250 West Virginian students were able to receive their veterinary degree from The Ohio State University.

$500

Counties in WV without a vet

The lack of available seats for West Virginia residents wishing to pursue a veterinary medicine degree has led to a lack of veterinarians practicing in West Virginia. There are currently 5 counties in the state without a practicing veterinarian. Give $100 for each county in West Virginia without a practicing veterinarian.

$1,000
