Celeste Lab is more than just a building: It’s a community of people —students, faculty, researchers and alumni like you —who are brought together by a love of science and learning, and a belief that our work helps to shape a better world.
Our lab is one of the busiest facilities on The Ohio State University campus, providing instruction and research space for more than 10,000 students per year.
But with all this wear and tear, the building is in need of upgrades to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as new elevators and repairs to its exterior.
The time has come for a comprehensive renovation of Celeste Laboratory. We can’t advance research and educate the next generation of scientists without it. And we can’t achieve it without your help.
Your support of this renovation will help maintain our Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry as a national leader in education and research, as demonstrated through consistent rankings from the National Resource Council as one of the best programs of its kind in the United States.
This upgrade will have a significant impact on all students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. New chemistry laboratories and support spaces will encourage faculty and students to work together on innovative research — something they can’t adequately do in the current facility.
