Wow! First, you shared your memories. Next, you chose to donate. While we didn’t quite reach $50,000, because of you, our donor will still donate the full $50,000! Thus, you helped raise $71,345 toward the Celeste Lab renovation! Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your most memorable moments of Celeste Laboratory.
As we embark on this renovation, we have enjoyed reflecting on some of our most favorite memories in the lab.
"In the late '60s & early '70s my graduate research lab was in the then "New Evans Lab". It was a beautiful facility, bright and with light wood paneling in the hallways, with multi-aisled labs that were open and airy." - Roger D.
"In the late 60's in the Sawtooth careful attention to waste disposal and ventilation was not nearly as important as it is now. The big lab in the Sawtooth held 3 lab sections. During winter terms we did qualitative analysis and generated hydrogen sulfide using thioacetamide. Within an hour or so a dark cloud invariably hovered over the entire room at about 6-8 feet above the floor." - Michael D.
"The sawtooth chem lab. It was awesome." - Mark K.
If you haven't yet, there's still time to share your lab memory! (https://chemistry.osu.edu/celestereno)
