Thank you again to all of you who have donated towards our Ohio 4-H Sea Camp Buckeye Funder! We love making it possible for all teens to come to camp without having to worry about how they will afford it. Not only is Ohio Sea Camp a fun place for teens to come and learn, it opens them up to education and career opportunities for the future.

Given the unprecedented situation facing our nation's health and economy, our camp leadership has made the decision to suspend this fundraiser. At this time we encourage our donors, campers, families, and supporters to focus on what is most important to them. 

All donations received thus far WILL be directed towards camperships. When we resume our fundraising campaign, all additional funds will contribute to this cause.  If you were already thinking about donating and did not yet do so before our campaign was suspended, please follow our page so that you can donate in the future! Ohio 4-H Sea Camp Staff

Thank you for all of your donations towards our campers for Ohio 4-H Sea Camp! We have made progress to reaching our goal and it wouldn’t be possible without all of you! We love being able to bring as many teens to camp as we can, and your contributions are helping us to extend that number.

At Ohio 4-H Sea Camp, we partner with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to teach campers the basic parts of a boat and the “rules of the road” when boating. Campers also learn about the basics of operating a personal watercraft (PWC) through professional instructors. Sea Campers who complete and pass the home version of the Ohio Boater Education Course (OBEC) can operate the PWC without an instructor while others learn the basics and ride with an instructor.

At Ohio 4-H Sea Camp, we partner with the Ohio Sea Grant to teach our campers more about the environment of Lake Erie. Ohio Sea Grant works with the Lake Erie community to solve the region’s most important environmental and economic issues. Our campers are offered activities from snorkeling on historic shipwrecks to exploring island geology and fossils.
