The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is on the front lines in combating COVID-19. Our care providers are putting themselves on the line as the number of sick increases.
Our researchers are working countless hours around the clock on more than 50 new COVID research areas. Researchers are creating tests to increase the number of tests that can be administered in a shorter amount of time. They are developing a clinical decision-making tool to help clinicians quickly determine whether someone immediately needs a hospital bed or respirator. Researchers are producing modeling to predict and support the epidemic surge so that the hospitals can be prepared and the state can determine whether social distancing measures are working.
