When was the last time you took a walk under an urban forest? Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens offers 62 acres of beauty and respite within walking distance of the University District, the mostly densely populated area of Columbus. Research has proven beneficial physical and mental effects from time spent in nature. In this time of COVID-19, maintaining this urban green space is needed in our community and because of COVID-19 is itself in need.
This critical appeal is in response to the loss of revenue from the cancellations of our Spring Plant Sale, membership drive and Ohio State’s Faculty and Staff Campus Campaign. As a result of these cancellations, Chadwick Arboretum needs to recover more than $75,000 of income to sustain our public garden, mentor our students and provide a place of respite for the larger community.
A gift of $40.00 or more also offers the benefit of a Friends Membership to Chadwick Arboretum! Benefits include free or reduced admission to parks across the nation and discounts at local garden centers. For a full list of current benefits associated with a membership, please click here.
Chadwick Arboretum is asking the Central Ohio community to support us today. Special thanks to our generous donors who provided nearly half of our $75,000 goal before our official launch. We appreciate everyone’s generosity. Keep Planting Forward!
