Veterinary Medicine: Class of 1987

Help us leave a lasting legacy and support Buckeye veterinarians!

2024 Fund Update

September 16, 2024

Dear Class of 1987,

We are thrilled to announce that the College of Veterinary Medicine has awarded the Class of 1987 Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year! This year’s deserving recipient is fourth year student Mercedez Wood. Please read a letter from Mercedez on the back page.

Our education at the college equipped us with essential tools and opportunities for success. Through this scholarship, we’re committed to extending that same experience to current students. As the college strives to eliminate one year of tuition for every veterinary student, our scholarship plays a vital role in achieving this goal. Your continued support allows our class scholarship to flourish and benefit more students each year.

This fund now holds a principal balance of approximately $147,071 with a distribution of $7,501 this year. Thank you for making a difference and paying it forward to the next generation of Buckeye veterinarians!

Sincerely,

Robert Mann, Carlton Schlatter, Rona Shapiro, Dennis Trautwein, Elaine Whalin, and Thomas Wood
