2020 is the 13th year for my Life's Short, Eat Dessert First fundraising event! In these unprecedented times, and out of an abundance of love and concern for the safety of everyone, my event is going virtual this year. The world may have slowed down, but cancer has not. I decided I simply cannot let COVID-19 stop me from raising money for breast cancer research.
Join me for your mom, your sister, your daughter, your friend, your neighbor and for you in making a donation towards my 2020 Life's Short, Eat Dessert First event.
The beneficiary of my event again this year is the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. Why? Because the Stefanie Spielman Fund is devoted to advancing research in breast cancer and 100% of your donation goes directly to research at Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).
I'm proud to say the 2019 donation was an incredible $15,254! The highest yet - bringing the total over the first 12 years to just under $80,000!
In addition to monetary donations, I have a fun week planned starting October 25 with silent auction and raffle opportunities! While sadly there will be no dessert buffet this year, I promise there will be some yummy sweet treats to bid on. And I have a couple other surprises up my sleeve too.

A $54 gift to represent the 54 breast cancer clinical trials The OSUCCC-James has open right now. James' scientists are making discoveries each day so more people will survive and thrive after a cancer diagnosis.
A $150 gift to represent the more than 150 friends, family and survivors who attended the 2019 Life's Short, Eat Dessert First event.
A $1,000 gift to help give hope to the 1,000 breast cancer patients seen at The OSUCCC-James per day.
