To Our HESA/SPA Community, 

Our campaign has officially ended but our gratitude to this community never ends. We are proud of the long legacy of the HESA/SPA program.  Over the course of 75 years, we have graduated hundreds of students - who have then entered the field and become prominent faculty and researchers, scholar-practitioners across every higher education institutional type, and leaders within the field across the many different professional associations and functional areas. The collective time, energy, and talent of our community has influenced the field in ways we cannot even begin to quantify.

These contributions are even more impressive when considering the changing landscape of higher education over the past 75 years. Despite ever-shrinking budgets that ask us to do more with less, we remain committed to our values of justice and equity and our goal of providing access, opportunities, and holistic student development and support to students. The money you have so generously donated during this campaign will help us do that for the next 75 years (and hopefully beyond)!

We know that there are countless ways in which you can show financial support to the organization and causes you care about and we are so appreciative that you have chosen to contribute to the #75for75 campaign. Because of your generosity, we are finally able to actualize our dream of creating a lending library of the textbooks for our required courses. This will allow access to students for whom these textbooks are a financial burden as well as students who learn better from reading a print text instead of online e-books. Moreover, your donations will help fund our SPA Travel Grants that provide professional development financial support to graduate students in the program who have been accepted to present at conferences. As you know from your time in the program, the collaboration between students and faculty to conduct research and share best practices with the field is a huge honor and we are thankful that we can continue this important work with the support you provided by contributing to the campaign.

Exciting news! We are thrilled to announce that we have reached 60% of our goal. We are so grateful to our wonderful community and to all those who have donated to help us reach this point. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you in recognition of Becky Weir and Alan Goodman for their generous donation that will fund our textbook lending library initiative.
