THANK YOU!!!

We are so thankful for your generosity and support over the last month. Your gifts helped us raise $25,870!

As the program manager, I work with our amazing students every day. They are passionate, kind and will make excellent leaders one day soon. Your gifts have a direct impact on their ability to pursue opportunities in Washington, DC and your support is incredible.

We are blown away by your kindness and commitment to helping these students. Your engagement with the critical work of the Glenn College in Washington makes us shine brighter than ever before. Because of your contributions, we can provide scholarships to amazing Buckeyes and make their dreams of working in DC come true. Thank you for helping make this program more accessible and for showing the incredible strength of the Buckeye spirit!

Wow! The campaign has hit $25,595 and we have surpassed our initial goal of $20,000 thanks to your support!

The generosity of our alumni community is unmatched, we are thrilled to see such strong support for our students in Glenn College DC programs.

Today we featured another amazing crowdfunding recipient on Instagram, Abby Geesling! Abby participated in WAIP during the Summer 2023 semester and interned with NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs + Administration). When asked about her WAIP experience, Abby said:

"I am deeply grateful for the mentors who nurtured my interests and provided me with this incredible opportunity. I now have a federal perspective on education policy, which sparked a new career and educational interest in the multidisciplinary nature of policy. I will tell anyone about my experience in WAIP who will listen (quite frankly). I gained life-long friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a robust social network in DC".

Your support allows students to pursue (and identify) new policy passions! So, all systems go and full speed ahead Buckeyes, please consider making your gift today to help support more future public servants.

March 11th Update

March 11, 2024

We have lift-off!

Thank you all for your support in the first week of the campaign! Thanks to you, we have raised $2,375 towards our goal of $20,000!

This past Thursday, we shared a "Throwback Thursday" post from one of our recent crowdfunding campaign receipents, Alex Ochoa! Alex participated in WAIP in Summer 2023 and interned at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. When asked what the crowdfunding scholarship meant to him, Alex said:

"Receiving a WAIP crowdfunding Scholarship was transformative for me, a kid from the South Side of Chicago, as it enabled me to pursue what once seemed unattainable. This award represented more than just financial support; it provided me with the opportunity to symbolize the resilience and potential of first-generation and underrepresented professionals in STEM Policy. It signified a commitment to continue breaking barriers and opening doors for future generations striving for success on a national scale."

Your gifts help us support future public servants during their time in DC and your unwavering support has catapulted us toward the goal at lightning speed. This isn’t just a victory; it’s a testament to the power of our community. We’re on this journey together, and every share, every pledge, and every piece of encouragement fuels our rocket ship. Let’s keep soaring to astronomical heights and support students in DC!
