It’s time again for Macular Madness!

Join us for our third annual class giving challenge, Macular Madness, that supports student scholarships. Last year, we raised more than $6,000. Congratulations again to the Class of 1998 for last year's victory!

The class who wins the championship will receive a complimentary ticket for each classmate to attend our 2024 Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, October 26 … and bragging rights of course.

New this year: The class who raises the most money will also receive a complimentary ticket for each classmate to attend our 2024 Homecoming Tailgate!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • You are in the class for the year you received your first degree from our college.
  • This challenge is focused on participation with a minimum gift amount each round.
  • There will be four rounds. The classes with the most participation will advance to the following round. At the start of each round, class giving percentages will reset to 0%.
  • All gifts must be made by Noon on the Friday in which the round concludes to count towards that round’s participation percentage.
  • All dollars raised will support the College of Optometry’s General Scholarship Fund. This fund serves to recruit top students and award scholarships to undergraduates with financial need.

The round breakdowns are:

  • Round 1 (Seeding Round): Friday, March 1–Friday, March 8; minimum gift of $5
  • Round 2 (Elite Eight): Friday, March 8–Friday, March 15; minimum gift of $10
  • Round 3 (Final Four): Friday, March 15–Friday March 22; minimum gift of $15
  • Round 4 (Championship): Friday, March 22–Friday, March 29; minimum gift of $20
