Congratulations to the champions of this year’s Macular Madness challenge, the Class of 2003! 2003 started out strong with 8.8 percent of their classmates taking part in Round 1 and built up to an impressive 26.4 percent taking part in the final round.
Additionally, congratulations to the Class of 2007 who raised the most money, a whopping total of $1,085!
Thank you to everyone who joined in this year’s class giving challenge. Here’s what your generosity accomplished:
Although the competition is over, you can still help students with financial need. If you would like to provide any additional support, please make a gift here.
Thank you again to all participants. We hope you join us again next year on March 1, 2025, when Macular Madness returns!
We’ve made it to the final round! Congratulations to the classes of 2003 and 2007. They have both worked hard to grow class participation throughout the challenge. But who will come out on top?
We also want to say THANK YOU to the Class of 1957 who had 14.3% participation and the Class of 1961 with 11.1% participation. These are AMAZING numbers, but the competition has been fierce!
Who will be crowned the 2024 Macular Madness champion?
Remember to make your final gift by noon on Friday, 3/29. The minimum gift amount for the championship round is $20.
P.S. - Keep in mind that all class members of the class with the most participation and the class with the most money raised will get a ticket to our Homecoming tailgate. Even if your class is not moving on to the championship round, your gift today can still help your classmates win by raising the most money!
The competition is heating up! Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far.
The four classes continuing to Round 3 are: 1957, 1962, 2003 and 2007!
Because of your generosity, we have raised $3,180 so far to support our students with financial need. We’re counting on you to keep this number growing!
Best of luck to our finalists. Remember that class participation resets, so your classmates need your help to take the lead this week! Please make your gift (minimum amount $15) by NOON on Friday, March 22. Even if your class has been eliminated, your continued support can help your class raise the most money!
P.S. - Reminder: members of the two winning classes will receive a free ticket to our Homecoming tailgate!
Wow! Thank you to all who took part in Round 1. It was a huge success with 76 participants.
The top eight classes advancing to the Elite Eight are: 1957, 2007, 1962, 2003, 1998, 1977, 2004 and 1964.
Remember, if your class made it to Round 2, the participation total resets to zero each round and you’ll need to make another gift to help your class stay in the game. The minimum gift amount is $10 in Round 2!
If your class is not moving forward, but you would still like to make a gift, you are welcome to do so (and you could help your class win by raising the most money)!
Who will make it to the Final Four? Make your gift by NOON on Friday, March 15 to help your class stay in the running.
P.S. - Don’t forget that the class members who win this year’s challenge will receive a free ticket to our Homecoming tailgate party!
Join us for our third annual class giving challenge, Macular Madness, that supports student scholarships. Last year, we raised more than $6,000. Congratulations again to the Class of 1998 for last year's victory!
