For everyone who knew Sandra Y. Alexander, she held a special place in our hearts. She had a magnetic smile that radiated a calming demeanor and worked tirelessly on causes that supported education and our youth.
Sandra shared the sacrifices and struggles she encountered to earn her degree at The Ohio State University. She also shared her commitment of support to our youth and other causes.
To continue her philanthropy work, a scholarship in her name at The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences was established. The scholarship provides one or more scholarships to undergraduates enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, ranked sophomore or higher. Preference will be given to, but not limited to, African American male students with demonstrated financial need.
