Our Crowdfunding Groups
We are the Higher Education Student Personnel Association, grounded in our mission to guide students through their college experience. As graduate students in Ohio State's Higher Education and Student Affairs program, we recognize the college experience is a pivotal time for students to engage in personal growth. For some, navigating a new world of independence can be difficult as academics and extracurricular involvements become a priority and new friendships begin to form. As a whole, we have collectively found purpose in dedicating our life's work to empowering college students to find their authentic selves and envision a purposeful future through their education.
The Student Personnel Assistantship Program has created spaces for us, as graduate students, to advise and mentor students, create and implement strategic programming centered around developing student's leadership skills, and engage our campus in multi-cultural conversations to encourage positive social change within our communities.
However, our work does not just encompass Ohio State's campus. Between our master's and doctoral students, we have 101 individuals working within residence halls, student activities, honors and scholars programs, student conduct, Ohio State's Multi-Cultural Center, and in areas directly pertaining to college access, equity, and student theory. With your help, we can continue to provide the best services to our students in these areas, learn from others in the field, and share best practices across the country through research and conference attendance. As new challenges continue to affect today's college students, we are dedicated to learning from and attributing to the best practices of our colleagues worldwide.
As an organization striving to better understand college access, diversity and equity, and student development, we need your help to continue to serve future generations of college students.
We are looking to provide research grants, conference travel grants, and professional development funds to our master's and doctoral students so that we may continue to leave a legacy in today's field.

Represents the number of graduates in Ohio State's first graduating class.
Symbolizes the year the Student Personnel Assistantship program, one of the oldest funded assistantship programs in the country for graduate students, was founded.
This depicts the number of Student Life departments that our program's students have the opportunity to collaborate with. These positions provide a space for growth within the field as well as an environment where we can apply what we learn in the classroom to students' development.
Represents the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Student Personnel Assistantship Program at Ohio State as well as the legacy our students are leaving for future generations of college students.
Signifies the 101 students the Higher Education and Student Affairs Department has in their respective master's and doctoral program.
