Hi! We are the Ohio State Club Softball Team. We operate through Ohio State Rec Sports and are a student-led and student-run softball team. We play through the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) in the Mid-Atlantic West region with teams like University Pittsburgh, Ohio University and West Virginia University.
In the past six years, the team has gone to regionals six times and attended the national tournament in Columbus, Georgia four times. In the 2018-2019 season, specifically, we won our conference, won the regional tournament in Annapolis, Maryland and traveled to Georgia to place 2nd in the nation. One of our players was even recognized as the tournament MVP.
As the season progresses and we continue to succeed, we will be required to travel to out of state tournaments accumulating transportation and lodging costs. To continue to do what we love, we are looking to raise money so that all of our girls can continue to pursue their passion for softball without worrying about the cost.
Also, we are a student-managed team which means our funds are needed to purchase equipment, buy uniforms and pay for umpires. To give ourselves the best chance at success, we believe that all of these are necessary expenses throughout the season. All of these expenses come out of the budget of the Club Softball Team and the club softball players. Examples of these expenses include:
We all love the game of softball and wish to continue to play on this level. We truly appreciate any and every gift we receive and we could not achieve the success we have without your support!
Thank you and go Bucks!
