Veterinary Medicine: Class of 1992

Help us leave a lasting legacy and support Buckeye veterinarians!

Support the next generation of Buckeye veterinarians

The College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 1992 Scholarship will be used to provide scholarships to DVM students. The cost of tuition has grown drastically in the last few years. Our class scholarship will assist a student in paying for their education and focusing on being the best veterinarian possible.

We have two more years left to meet our goal of $100,000. We cannot do this without your support and we are so close! Please consider making a donation so our scholarship can be endowed to support students forever.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this scholarship fund and for the impact we will make on students at the college. Check back here for updates!

Why Scholarships?

The College of Veterinary Medicine holds an ambitious goal of eliminating a year of tuition for every student, meaning it will be providing a total of $5.3M a year in scholarship dollars. This next academic year, the college will be distributing $2.9M in scholarship dollars. This number has increased dramatically from $340,000 awarded seven years ago.

Scholarships have become important now more than ever as two of three Ohio State veterinary students graduate with over $200,000 in student loan debt. Many of the students end up paying back double what they borrowed which could end up being around $400,000. In state tuition is around $35,000 for the first three years of veterinary school and about $52,000 for the fourth year due to an additional summer semester. Out of state for the first year is around $75,000 due to the $40,000 non-Ohio resident fee.
